My sister, Katrina is one of the most creatively gifted people I know. I'm pretty good at imagining something beautiful or cool, but she can actually draw or design her cool and beautiful ideas! She created my logo and my husband's logo for our home inspection business as well!
I'm very proud of her for graduating with her Bachelors in Graphic Design and Illustration from NCAD (Northwest College of Art and Design) just this last summer. Her heart to help the needy and be friends with the lonely in inspiring. If you want to check out more of her designs or hire her to do some graphic design work, check out her Instagram: @katrinajunio.
We quickly drove to a local greenhouse, Branches Garden Center , to get some head shots for Katrina and we got lucky because it stopped raining as soon as we got there!

Do you know someone who lights up a room when they walk in? Someone who is naturally joyful, fun and carefree? Yep... that's Sophia!
I've known this sweet girl since she was in elementary school because I was good friends with her brother, Evan. I remember hanging out with Evan and being around Sophia and I wished she was MY little sister! Now she's a senior in high school, looking forward to the future of what's to come after high school. Dang, that makes me feel old!
We took her senior photos on Clear Creek Trail in Silverdale, WA. It was POURING rain just an hour before we were supposed to start her photos but thank the Lord, the sky cleared up and the sun even came out for a little! Talk about great timing. Sophia was a champ and was willing to trust my gut when I suggested a location for a photo even when she had to risk her LIFE (okay, maybe just risk her cute outfit) to get there!
Check out Sophia and her adorably stylish outfits:
I never want to stop learning and growing as a photographer. Ever! Not just because I am fairly new to the whole wedding photography industry but because technology and social media is ever changing and evolving.
Earlier this month, I attended an amazing day-long business intensive called Blaze with Tonie Christine. Tonie Sexauer of Tonie Christine Photography hosted 16 other photographers in her home to connect with, educate, share with, and encourage. I think every single one of us left that day with a fire under our booties to keep pressing on and pour into growing our photography businesses.
Whether you're a family photographer, a wedding photographer, Senior photographer, or portrait photographer, Tonie's business intensive is for you. It's is a great way to gain knowledge about workflow, systems and applications to save you time, legitimizing your business, marketing, and creating great relationships with your clients. Her next business intensive is Sunday, February 26th, 2017 and you can register TODAY!

(One thing on my list of things to master is BLOGGING! Never in a million years did I think I would have a blog... but here I am. Blogging. Whoo!)
I had a great time meeting other photographers, learning new tips and tricks, and of course shooting an AMAZING styled shoot put on by the ladies at Bixby + Pine. Those girls show up, take over, set up, and make magic happen! Look for yourself!

In honor of these two love birds tying the knot in a matter of DAYS, I wanted to share some of my FAVORITE engagement pictures I have taken to date. We adventured all through Kitsap County for these beautiful Pacific NorthWest settings.
Kaylyn and Jacob met at a bar where Jacob walked up to Kaylyn and asked her if he'd seen her before. Thinking that was just a bad pick-up line, Kaylyn brushed him off, "Does that work on every girl you try it on?". But later that night, they eventually discovered they lived in the same town and had seen each other at FroYo place earlier that week. From then, they started getting to know each other and soon they will share the same last name!
K & J: may your marriage be blessed, your wedding be unforgettable, and the time you spend together cherished forever. Love, Alicia Lynne.
